 Click to view full-size. 1936 #6 Blue Box Monopoly Game This is the first #6 game 2 Boards were used with the oversized label (Left) the first one produced. Parker Brothers originally priced the limited run #5 sets at $2.50. With the advent of the #6 Blue Box set in later 1936, the price was lowered to $2.00. As Parker Brothers still had a surplus of #5 Boards with the $2.50 price they decided to use these boards but put an oversized label on it to hide the $2.50 price label underneath. |
